Positive thinking makes the world go around in Nichijou 6. Keiichi Arawi’s hit comedy returns with what might possibly be the most zany volume in this series yet. Anything that can happen, will happen in this volume. ― We all know the story of Sleeping Beauty, or at least the versions by Charles Perrault, the Brothers Grimm, and Walt Disney. The fairy tale known as ATU 410 tells of a king and queen desperate for a child who finally have one later in life. The tender and fun adventure of Chi's life with a young family continues in this latest volume.
Chi also gets her(?) claws clipped, makes friends with a dog, and misses her old pal, Blackie. Koji Suzuki’s Ring Trilogy returns just in time for the Hollywood premiere of RINGS. To honor this occasion Vertical has worked with Mr Suzuki and Paramount on a movie-tie in rerelease of the original Ring featuring artwork from the new film. The new paperback should be hitting stores now and it should be a great introduction to this thrilling franchise.

It has a been a little while since we have made a dedicated entry for new acquisitions. And after a busy two months of events, we have a few new titles to share with you all. First, Tsubaki is reunited with an old crush who is looking for affection, and maybe love in all the wrong places. The wrong place in this case is with Urabe’s boyfriend! Introduced to a carbon copy of his girlfriend!

Konami is well regarded within the pet-manga community for her keen sense of cat ecology. Her ability to observe and render feline behavior has earned her respect from the Japanese manga community as a whole. Chi's Sweet Home will be Konami's first translated work. This was another volume from this charming series focusing on ordinary experiences of a family with a kitten from the kitten's perspective. This volume sees Chi and her family moving to a pet-friendly apartment, so they no longer have to keep her secret. I keep thinking there aren't any new moments of ordinary greatness this series can uncover, but it keeps surprising me by doing just that.
It was serialized in Kodansha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Morning from 2004 to 2015, with its chapters collected in twelve tankōbon volumes. The manga has been licensed for North American distribution by Vertical Inc. An anime adaptation lasting two seasons aired from March 2008 to September 2009. A 3DCG anime television adaptation lasting two seasons aired from October 2016 to September 2018.

This is distracting enough it always engulfs me and refocuses my mind on something positive. About 3/4 of the way through, i started crying and couldn't stop even when i got to the end. Sad tears and happy tears but man do i have a love/hate with feeling that intensely for characters. Chi must choose between her adopted home and her original home. Again, whichever reviewer called this "relaxing" is a nonsense person who is to be ignored. Chi's Sweet Home, however, should probably be read multiple times in order to become relaxing, once you know that everything turns out fine.
It will be sad to see this series wrap up, but thankfully we’ll be working more with Konami Kanata in the future. So that relationship will continue as we expand the North American cat comics market. I tried to stretch it out, but I just got too sucked in! I ended up reading the last half in one sitting.

Who would have thought I would read through 4 Volumes of manga about a little kitten named Chi? I loved her so much and she was always so cute!! My eyes were welling up so bad near the end of this volume and my heart was pounding so hard. Overall The Complete Chi’s Sweet Home Part 4 perfectly wraps up the series and I really enjoyed all of the volumes. After taking a tumble Yohei feels just as distraught as the kitten he sees before him, and he quickly takes comfort in feeling a sense of sympathy with the cat. And before she could even know what hit her, the little kitty was picked up and soon under the protection and care of Yohei's family--the Yamada's. Every moment of their daily life is filled with something we can all cherish. Although the end was incredibly sad, the entirety of the book was really bittersweet as well. The very beginning was the same as normal- Cocchi being confused about everything in Chi's home and Mr. Yamada taking a billion pictures of Chi .
But we still have a few new series to look forward to before this fall. In Witchcraft Works 9 readers are treated to the bubbly and colorful world of Kasumi’s heart! A world where she and her brother have an unbreakable bond!
I didn't think I would ever say this, but this book made me cry. And not in a metaphorical, internal way, but in an actual tears falling from my eyeballs way. I don't know when was the last time a book made me cry, so I was taken off guard, but I have no shame in it. In the past month Chi has managed to wrap her little paw around my heart and pulled me into her world of fun, mischief, and adventures.
Set before the events in the manga and anime, the light novel series revolves around Guren Ichinose and the on-coming war against vampires. A must for fans of the Seraph franchise this light novel series reveals critical details about the back story for many of the characters of the animation. Is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kanata Konami.
The anime series is directed by Mitsuyuki Masuhara and produced by Madhouse, the first episode aired on 31 March 2008. The episodes are 3 minutes long and equivalent to one chapter from the manga. While being housebroken, the kitten mistakenly answers to "Chi" (as in shi- from shikko, the Japanese word for "urine") and this becomes her name.
The art in this manga series is excellent and I love how brightly colored everything is. The animals are all quite adorable, Chi being the cutest of the bunch. The illustrations perfectly capture all of the cats' movements, particularly Chi's chaotic ones. I'm often reminded of my own cats' antics when reading these books as the depiction of the cats' expressions and movements are so well done. In her nearly thirty year career, Konami has penned more than a dozen comic series, with the majority of them focusing on cats and pets.
― I remember watching the Afro Samurai anime well over a decade ago on late-night television. The novelty of seeing a Black protagonist in anime aside, the show radiated this cool, sleek style with a fearless confidence that was very easy to get swept up in. Striking art can't make up for a barebones story with little narrative or characterization to chew on. This unique interpretation of Sleeping Beauty features beautiful artwork and an impressive voice cast. The only snag is some rather clunky gameplay mechanics.
