But this world is not one without its problems. It was one distilled from witchcraft and infused with some wickedness from an unknown source. After a few months rest, the Vertical marketing team is about ready to hit the road again. Our first event of the year is currently scheduled for KatsuCon in National Harbor, Maryland located in the Washington D.C.

We see quite a bit of Chi's mom and siblings in this volume compared to the last few. One of the big storylines in this volume was a lost cat poster each of the Yamada members find that is of Chi. Each family member struggles with what to do as they've come to love Chi and don't want to give her up. Ultimately I liked that it was Chi who made the choice of where she belonged and I was happy with the ending. Konami Kanata was born on July 3, 1958, in Nagano, Japan.

Anyway, rant aside, and those bits stressing me out aside, it's a cute, solid series with a good message about always finding your way to home and family. This bind-up contains the final 54 chapters of Chi's story. There was a humorous storyline where Blackie has to explain to Chi that she's a cat after she has an identity crisis and realizes she's not the same as the Yamadas.
Taking care of him brings out my nurturing side. Playing with him and observing his behavior and reactions to things makes me laugh & cheers me up. I read this whenever I need to change the channel in my mind or I need a pick me up!
Preview — Chi's Sweet Home, Volume 4
It takes him a while to figure it out but when he does he's torn between his human family and the cat family. As usual, the cats were all adorable and really great ending... Back in 2009, Vertical began an initiative to expand its manga catalog. Prior to then we had only worked with three mangaka, releasing around a pair of titles a year since 2004. Now we have more than 50 manga titles under our belt. The first title from that new wave, though, was Konami Kanata’s Chi’s Sweet Home.

The magazine is a part of Kodansha Publishing, in which she published her works ever since her first debut. In this book, the family move to a new apartment at a pet friendly apartment building. I can't get enough of this cat and its family!

Positive thinking makes the world go around in Nichijou 6. Keiichi Arawi’s hit comedy returns with what might possibly be the most zany volume in this series yet. Anything that can happen, will happen in this volume. ― We all know the story of Sleeping Beauty, or at least the versions by Charles Perrault, the Brothers Grimm, and Walt Disney. The fairy tale known as ATU 410 tells of a king and queen desperate for a child who finally have one later in life. The tender and fun adventure of Chi's life with a young family continues in this latest volume.
Vertical may not have the biggest budgets to blow, but it does have some big names. And this month we have some big hitters along with a new action title debuting; a little bit of everything for everyone. Over the summer at events such as AnimeCentral, AnimeNext, Anime Expo, and Otakon we had a number of opportunities to reveal new licenses with our growing core of readers. But for those of you who have not yet heard, we’ll be sharing a bit of info about those new acquisitions here.
The art in this manga series is excellent and I love how brightly colored everything is. The animals are all quite adorable, Chi being the cutest of the bunch. The illustrations perfectly capture all of the cats' movements, particularly Chi's chaotic ones. I'm often reminded of my own cats' antics when reading these books as the depiction of the cats' expressions and movements are so well done. In her nearly thirty year career, Konami has penned more than a dozen comic series, with the majority of them focusing on cats and pets.

I didn't think I would ever say this, but this book made me cry. And not in a metaphorical, internal way, but in an actual tears falling from my eyeballs way. I don't know when was the last time a book made me cry, so I was taken off guard, but I have no shame in it. In the past month Chi has managed to wrap her little paw around my heart and pulled me into her world of fun, mischief, and adventures.
Anyone who has ever moved with a pet will be able to relate to these experiences. A rare appearance by Vertical mangaka Tsutomu Nihei highlights our programming for the weekend.
